01 The project

A smart home that explains why it acted.

Lueur is a self-initiated concept: a smart home app with a wall panel. A connected home acts without saying what it does or why. Lueur shows the object itself instead of an icon, writes every state in plain words, and lets the home explain why it acted: the trigger, the rule and what happens next. The interface sky follows the time of day in four variable modes.

Desk research with dated sources, wireframes, a design system (174 variables, 4 modes, 34 components), 12 screens, a clickable prototype of 58 links and motion.

  • No client, sample data, objects are generated images and not real products, usability test planned but not run.
